Shapla Sangstha (SS) is a non-Government social development organization working in the north east coastal part of Bangladesh (satkhira District). SS was established in 1997 by a group of social worker, educationist and development professional to fight poverty and marginalization. At the outset it worked with local artisan and producer groups providing support in product development and marketing and gradually extended its effort as a local initiative to provide support for sustainable livelihood of the marginalized population in the satkhira region of Bangladesh.
